Jasmine had a customized one-day blacksmithing class. Here she's forging a leaf to embellish a fancy plant hanger. She learned to make bronzed leaves, 90-degree bends, hooks and scrolls, and riveted joints. She worked with hammer and tongs, a propane forge, scrolling forks, a power grinder, a metal-cutting bandsaw, and a wire wheel on angle grinder. Not bad for a gal who had never swung a hammer before!
The dust mask was a must because bladesmithing students were grinding their blades nearby.
