Retractable Oak and Iron Ladder

Retractable Oak and Iron Ladder
This ladder needed to pull out to a comfortable angle for climbing, then push back up against the wall for stowing. It required linear sliding bearings at the top. To stay in position once stowed, the location of the hinges at the top had to be farther from the wall than the contact point of the wheels, so that gravity would push the bottom of the ladder toward the wall from a vertical position.

This is the stowed position.
